MaxBlast 5 is a powerful backup and image backup utility for Maxtor external HDDs.

This tool can do direct backup to FTP servers, explore archives, one-click image backup and create a bootable diskette or CD-R/W that can backup and restore a disc/partition on a computer running any PC-based operating system including Linux®.
MaxBlast support FAT16/32, NTFS, Ext2/Ext3, ReiserFS, Linux SWAP file systems. If a file system is not supported or is corrupted, Maxtor MaxBlast can copy data using a sector-by-sector approach. Also it can save your backup data to another Hard disc drive, Networked storage devices, FTP servers, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R (including double-layer DVD+R), DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, USB 1.0 / 2.0, FireWire (IEEE-1394) and PC card storage devices, Floppy discs, ZIP®, Jaz® and other removable media.

• Pentium processor or higher
• 128 MB RAM
• FDD or CD-RW drive for bootable media creation
• Mouse (recommended).
